I specialise in portrait sculpture commissions - working in clay but casting into bronze. If you are interested in discussing this further, please contact me on wiredandfired@hotmail.co.uk and we can arrange to talk over the phone or in person about the process as well as the costs. As with any portrait, the best results are achieved through face-to-face sittings rather than through photographs alone. These sittings can be held in your own home or in my studio. Portrait Sculpture - Summer School 2010 - Four Day Workshop
Have you ever wanted to capture someone’s face or expression in a sculpture? Working a portrait in clay is a really rewarding experience. Why don’t you join us as we explore portrait sculpture over four days. On the first day we will start by examining the model and exploring the structure of the head, building a small portrait in clay. This learning will then be used to start the development of a life-size portrait on an armature. We will continue to work on this with the model for the remaining three days. This course will be taught in a way suitable for all levels of experience – from beginners to the advanced.
